We're back in action! The Feather River has been producing some very angry adult steelhead (if you can land them). A good percentage of these fish are wild! Most mayfly and caddis patterns will do the trick. The hard part is not so much getting the fish to take your fly, but knowing what to do once you get them on. It's quite a wild ride! Definitely bigger, more aggressive fish than last season. Bring your 3x tippet and at least a 6wt rod. Hooked a few that were worthy of a 7wt.
